PROJECT MCN
The beginning of the first project involved acquiring and examining an existing building model, which had the Architectural, mechanical systems, and the structural models. The initial brief is to redesign/refit the building to convert it into an artists village. Within the building there would be exhibition spaces, workshops, studios, cafe, apartments and a courtyard.
Important Notes:
Project site is located in West End, Brisbane.
Building envelope cannot be increased
Stairs and lift must remain.
Apartments and cafe to be added on third level.
Project Requirements:
- Work within multi-disciplinary collaborative design teams
- Existing building data to be investigate and analysed
- Site Analysis of block in West End, Brisbane

- Design Proposal - To Developed to Sketch Design level
- Log of Project - Reflective BLOG (GROUP)

- Revit Architecture

- ISE-VE ware
- Solibri File Optimizer
- IFC File Analyzer
- IFC Object Counter
- Solibri Model Checker
Limitations:
- Total building area is to stay within the existing two stories and building envelope
- Stairs and lifts to remain as is
- A level is to be added for 5 apartments and a cafe

- 1400sqm: Entry, galleries, shop, office workshop

- 600sqm: Apartments: 5 apartments, green wall
- 200sqm cafe
The models must then be integrated and checked
From here as a team we divided the initial tasks of the assignment.
